Hi, I’m Katerina Jones, BSN, RN. (she/her/hers)
I am a licensed Registered Nurse who has always been deeply committed to justice, education, and caring for others. My journey as a nurse began in college, when I had my first pap smear at student health. The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner caring for me left a lasting impression with her warmth, expertise, and trauma-informed care. I knew from that point forward that I wanted to pursue a career in nursing, where I could provide the same high-level care to others.
After over 14 years of working in various clinical settings, including nearly a decade in Infertility and Reproductive Health, I founded Full Bloom Fertility™, a nurse consulting and educational service dedicated to addressing the significant knowledge gap surrounding all aspects of fertility. Drawing on my own personal experience with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and my clinical observations, my goal is to empower and support individuals and couples in their family-building and reproductive health journeys.
I began my nursing career working in abortion care. I firmly believe in the core reproductive justice principles that include the human right to control one’s sexuality, one’s gender, one’s work, and one’s reproduction. With public health as my first love, I understand the deep interconnectedness of the social, political, cultural, and economic factors that influence access to quality reproductive health care and education. I know that knowledge is power, and my mission is to pull back the veil on fertility and reproductive health education, ensuring that all people have access to knowledge about their bodies.
As a first-generation, Caribbean-American East Coaster now living in the Bay Area, I am committed to making information accessible to all, but especially Black and Brown folks and those within marginalized communities. My areas of expertise include reproductive endocrinology and infertility, IVF, egg freezing, post-abortion care, family planning, and preventive care.
Outside of work, I am an avid reader and can often be found with my nose in a book. I love staying active, especially hiking through California’s bountiful natural beauty. Most of all, I enjoy spending quality time with the joys of my life, my husband, and our two beautiful children.
